Privacy Policy

PaperKit for Android · Effective 9 September 2026

PaperKit does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, and no advertising. Everything the app does happens entirely on your device.

Information we collect

None. We do not collect any personal or usage data of any kind. Specifically, PaperKit does not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, device identifiers, or any information about how you use the app.

Your documents and images

PaperKit lets you view PDFs, scan documents with your camera, and convert between PDFs and images. All of this processing happens locally on your device.

Permissions

Camera — used only when you open the document scanner, to photograph a page. The images are processed on your device and are not sent anywhere. If you never use the scanner, the camera is never accessed.

PaperKit requests no other permissions. It does not need broad storage access: when you pick a PDF or a photo, Android's own file picker hands the app that one file, and nothing else.

Settings and history

Your preferences, recent files, favourites, and bookmarks are saved in the app's private storage on your device so it can remember them next time. This information never leaves your device and is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app.

Third parties

PaperKit contains no advertising networks, no analytics SDKs, and no crash reporting services. No third party receives any data from this app.

Children

PaperKit is safe for users of all ages. Because the app collects no data whatsoever, it collects no data from children either.

Data deletion

Since nothing is stored outside your device, there is nothing for us to delete. Uninstalling PaperKit removes all of its settings and history from your device. Files you have converted and saved remain in your device storage, where you can delete them yourself at any time.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
